Rigid microporous insulation

SilthermPanel

A large-format microporous panel enclosed in glass cloth.

Siltherm Panel encloses a reinforced microporous core in durable glass cloth. Its large format gives high-temperature equipment broad, clean-handling coverage.

Material architecture

A protected core designed for large-area thermal boundaries.

The glass-cloth envelope keeps the panel clean to handle. The reinforced microporous core provides the thermal resistance.

Glass-cloth envelope

E-Glass cloth provides the standard envelope for clean handling and installation across larger areas.

02

Composite microporous core

Pyrogenic silica, opacifying constituents and dispersed filament reinforcement form one core matrix. The reinforcement supports integrity and handleability without constituting a separate continuous layer.

Thermal response

Conductivity changes with mean temperature.

ASTM C177 data shows the core conductivity at each mean temperature. The installed panel field is sized around that duty.

Panel-field design

Coverage, joints and fixing shape the installed result.

Panel size and edge treatment can be coordinated for continuous coverage across the equipment surface.

01

Map the coverage

Define hot-face geometry, usable area, panel orientation, penetrations and the heat paths that bypass the insulation field.

02

Resolve joints and edges

Review panel interfaces, dimensional tolerance, cut edges and the sealing method before finalising the layout.

03

Plan fixing and access

Pins, clips, anchors, adhesives and installation access must suit the complete construction and operating duty.
